In the early nineteen hundreds, a then young man, Henry Pasco Whidden, began working with the Wirt Furniture Company, supplier of furniture, coffins and funeral supplies for the Bartow & Fort Meade area.In 1999, the family purchased the Hancock-McClellan Funeral Home, which is the original site of the Marsh Funeral Home, Fort Meade's first funeral establishment. The family continues to serve the commuities of Bartow and Fort Meade area with the same integrity and compassion as it has since its inception in 1925.

TRADITIONAL FUNERAL CEREMONY WITH VISITATION AND BURIAL
This is the most commonly selected service that we offer and includes services of funeral director and staff for coordinating and directing of the funeral, filing of legal documents and other administrative needs to complete the arrangements, removal of the deceased from place of death, embalming and preparation of the deceased for ceremonies, use of facilities and staff for visitation and ceremony, automotive equipment, including funeral coach and service vehicle.
GRAVESIDE FUNERAL CEREMONY
This selection includes everything listed above under traditional funeral ceremony including evening visitation followed by graveside funeral ceremony instead of services at the funeral home or church.
