About Matthews Mortuary
Matthews Mortuary has provided funeral service to the community for over 64 years. The mortuary began in the community in August 1946 and held its formal opening Sept. 15, 1946, with a public open house. The mortuary was founded by Roy Jones, Pittsboro, and Keith Matthews, Boswell, after they had purchased the undertaking establishment of Evans & Webb in June 1946.
