The Greening Funeral Home was first established in Clarence, MO, in 1952, when brothers Virgil and Pete Greening along with their wives Evelyn and Sue purchased the Lewis Hopper Funeral Home. In 1957, Virgil and Pete expanded their business to Shelbyville, MO, when they purchased Ernest Thompson Funeral Home. Along with running the funeral home in both towns, they also provided families with an ambulance service.
Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home has been a family owned and operated funeral home for over 60 years and it is our mission to facilitate meaningful ways for families to grieve their loss and celebrate the memories of their loved ones.
