The history of Mahn Funeral Homes dates back to 1914, when Daniel J. Mahn, Sr. received his embalming license. Daniel also owned Mahn Hardware Store in DeSoto, Missouri. The Mahn family home on 4th Street in DeSoto served as the funeral home until 1954, when DJ purchased the home from the Datillo family.
