It is off the Antelope Valley Freeway (Highway 14) near Palmdale. Acton is roughly 20 miles (32 km) northeast of the San Fernando Valley and 47 miles (76 km) north of downtown Los Angeles. The homes in the mountains around Acton have great views of the valley below. In the valley are ranch style homes, often with equestrian facilities.
