Hanapepe (literally, '"crushed bay"' in Hawaiian Language ) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kauai County, Hawaii County, Hawaii, United States. Later in its history, the Hanapepe massacre Massacre occurred in Hanapepe. The population was 2,153 at the 2000 United States Census census.
