. The company built and owned all of the structures in the town. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 43127. Peter Hayden, a Columbus Industrialist knew of the many minerals and purchased 3000 acres, renaming it Haydenville in 1853 with intentions of running an iron smelting company there. Known as Ohio's last company town, it is located along US Route 33 between Logan, Ohio and Nelsonville, Ohio The Hocking Valley Scenic Railroad runs through the middle of town.
