Depoe Bay was founded by Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indian "Charley" Depot (whose name was later changed to "DePoe"). Depoe Bay is a city in Lincoln County, Oregon County, Oregon, United States, located on US Route 101 in Oregon Route 101 next to the Pacific Ocean. . In 1975, the fishing trip sequence in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (film) Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' was filmed in Depoe Bay. His original tribal affiliation was Tututni.
