History

In 1900, Charles Nosler acquired most of the townsite. Ives began farming the area near the confluence of the Methow River and Columbia Rivers, with around 50 teepees of Indigenous peoples of the Americas Americans and 20 China miners also inhabiting the area. Pateros is a city in Okanogan County, Washington County, Washington, United States. He renamed the town to Pateros, after Pateros, Metro Manila city in the Philippines he previously visited. Wells Dam was constructed on the Columbia River several miles downstream from Pateros in 1967.
